All of your search criteria matter. A search will generally only return results that fit all the search terms that you’ve provided. For example, searching for salmon in the title at the same time as the author name Smith will only produce a list of library items that meet BOTH criteria.
Word order doesn’t matter. If you enter more than one word in a search field, results will be returned for items that contain all of those words, though they can appear in any order. For example, searching for Skeena habitat in the title would return an item with the title Salmon Habitat of the Skeena Watershed.
Wildcard searches are allowed. Each of the search fields supports wildcards, using an asterisk to represent zero or more characters. For example, searching for salt* will return results for salt, salty and SaltSpring; whereas searching salt will only return salt.
